To encourage and motivate budding students of the AOR in nation building and inculcate the sense of patriotism, 5 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion (JAT) organized a visit for local students of the AOR to Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre. The students were shown Training Movie followed by various training activities like Physical training, Drill, Night Navigation tactics, War Memorial, Quarter Guard Drill, Hall of Fame , Maqbool Sherwani Museum where the history of JAK LI Regimental Centre was shown, followed by Brave soldiers stories and display of weapons and equipments to broaden their perspective.
The event witnessed the jubilant participation of local students from Ganderbal who took this opportunity to refresh their minds from prolonged lock down. They were also motivated to join the Armed Forces of the Country through competitive exams conducted by UPSC.
The locals and elders appreciated the initiatives undertaken by the Army for giving their wards such an opportunity. The locals further thanked the Unit for ensuring the safety precautions of COVID-19 while conducting the event.
