CRPF’s 3 battalion distributes organizes Civic Action Programme Bandipora

Distributes over 200 food packets among needy

Srinagar, Nov 18 (KNO): 3 Battalion of CRPP which is located in a sensitive bordering district in Bandipora organized a Civic Action Programme (CAP) on Wednesday. The CAP was organized in a far-flung area at B-block of village Chittibandi under jurisdiction of Police Station Aragam in Bandipora district.

At this crucial juncture of COVID-19 pandemic when poor families are facing acute shortage of routine grocery items for their daily need, the 3 Bn CRPF as per a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) has taken initiative and distributed more than 200 food packets each packet consisting 5 Kg Rice, 3 Kg Atta (wheat flour), one Kg Rajma, one Kg sugar, one liter oil and 1Kg salt.

With the help of Sarpanch Chittibandi and SHO Aragam, needy BPL families widows, differently abled persons have been identified and provided with essential grocery items in this testing time.

Taking the various Govt Scheme forwarded with this initiative during COVID-19 poor families were also distributed masks and other items related to corona prevention. At this occasion toys, chocolates and Biscuits were distributed to children present at the venue.

Ranjeet Kumar Singh, Deputy Commandant while welcoming the villagers and representatives hailed the enthusiasm shown by the children.

After distribution of the food packets and relief material few issues related to local welfare have also been brought to the notice of Rakesh Sharma, Commandant-3 Bn, CRPF by Sarpanch of village Cittibandi and other villagers including water scarcity and non-availability of Primary Health Centre (PHC) in the area.

Rakesh Sharma, Commandant-3 Bn, CRPF assured them of suitable assistance through district administration and gave assurance to pursue the matter with district administration at appropriate level.

While concluding Kailash Nath, 2nd in-command appreciated and conveyed vote of thanks to the village representatives, Police officials Md. Javed SHO Aragam, Md Aslam Halka Sarpanch Chittibandi, Md Anwar Khan Sarpanch, Aragam for their active participation and also conveyed best wishes for forthcoming local body election—(KNO)
