Urges restoration of all medical services at District Hospital Ganderbal, discussed various other public issues with them
Srinagar: National Conference Senior Leader and Former MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar led delegation on Wednesday called upon Financial Commissioner Health & Medical Education Atal Dullo, Comissioner Secretary Youth Services & Sports Sarmad Hafeez, Commissioner Secretary R&B Shalider Kumar, Commissioner Secretary Jal Shakti M Raju and Commissioner Secretary Rural Development at Civil Secretriat Srinagar and discussed various public issues with them.
In a statement issued here, NC former Legislator from Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar today raised the issue of District Hospital Ganderbal which is functioning as COVID-19 hospital and demanded that the district hospital Ganderbal should be made operational for normal patient care activities as converting it into COVID19 centre has badly affected the patient care in the district.
He demanded restoration of all general medical facilities that were earlier provided to patients normally prior to covid-19, medical facilities like Ophthalmic, Dental, General Surgery, General Lab Testing and Ultrasound should be restored at the district hospital so that the poor patients could have a sigh of relief, Ishfaq added.
Jabbar also raised other health related issues and demands with Financial Commissioner Health & ME Atull Dullo.
Financial Commissioner H&ME Atull Dullo directed Director Health Services Kashmir to resume the normal functioning of the DH for the convenience to our people at the earliest at one side and COVID-19 centre at other side of the hospital.
Mr Jabbar led delegation during the meeting with Commissioner Secretary R&B Shalinder Kumar raised the issue of macadamisation of Chountwaliwar, Chanthan Gulbpora and Bakura Fakh area inner links for which the DPR has already been made under NABARD. He also discussed with him other projects of Ganderbal.
During the meeting with Secretary Youth Services and Sports Sarmad Hafeez, the former MLA raised the issue of upgradation of sports fields and their infrastructure. Sheikh Ishfaq demands that the work on the different sports grounds which include Beehama, Lar, Wakura, Batwina, Fakh and other areas should be immediately started and expedited. Ishfaq also discussed with him upgradation of Sheikh Jabbar sports field of Lar. He assured Jabbar that all his genuine demands would be addressed at an earliest and during this session many sports fields will be upgraded including Sheikh Jabbar stadium Lar.
The delegation raised different issues and demands with Secretary Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Sheetal Nanda which include different works under MGNREGA in Chountwaliwar area.
Mr Jabbar aprised M Raju Secretary Jal Shakti regarding the different projects and water supply schemes which are under construction and demands their immediate completion. Jabar said that LariPreng – Safapora water supply scheme should be immediately completed and will resolve the problem of water shortage in different areas of Ganderbal. He also raised with him Wutlar water supply scheme, construction of wells in Chountwaliwar area besides other issues ad demands.
