The students who study at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Batwina Ganderbal told KNT that they have been directed to appear in the examination at Ganderbal town.

“It will be a 30 kilometers journey for us including the girl students. We requested authorities not to keep examination centres far away from our localities, but they are unmoved,” they said.

The students said that in times of Covid-19 pandemic it will extremely difficult for them to travel in public transport. “We are anxious and worried and will face lot of hardships if our examination centres are not changed,” the student said and sought the intervention of Board Authorities.

Chairperson Jammu Kashmir Board of School Education Venna Pandita told KNT that these students should talk to Joint Secretary Altaf Ahmed and she will convey to him about their problem. “We are here to mitigate the sufferings of students not to add to their woes,” she said and asked these students to meet the Joint Secretary at the Board.
