Two women killed, 4 injured as car rolls down from road in Jammu outskirts
Jammu, Nov 19: Two women were killed and four persons suffered injuries when a car they were traveling in skidded off and rolled down from the road in Akhnoor area here in city outskirts.
Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Akhnoor, DySP Varun Jandial here said that a car on its way for m Mendhar to Jammu, met with accident this evening when the driver lost its control on rashly driven vehicle.
“The car when reached near Tungi Morh, went out of control and rolled down about 150 feet deep gorge in which two ladies died on the spot,” said the police officer.
He identified the deceased as Sarwar Bi, wife of Mohammad Hussain of Banola Mendhar and Zumart Bi, wife of Mohammad Naseer of Kas Blari, Mendhar.
The injured were driver Mukhtar Ahmed,40, of Banola, Parveen Akhtar,40, Ansh Mukhtar,and Alesha Naseer of Kas Blari, Mendhar.
Police Party from Police Station Akhnoor rushed to the spot and shifted injured persons to the Sub District Hospital while the cognizance has been taken, said police.
