Kupwara, August 17: The administration in Kupwara has extened Covid-19 lockdown till August 30.

In an order copy which lies with Kashmir Despatch reads, Whereas In view of a spike in positive cases in the District in the recent lines restrictions were imposed in the district from 10.08-2020 vide this office order No. MK/PS/2020/042223-31 Dated:- 10-08-2020.

Whereas the overall COVID scenario has been reviewed in consultation with Health Department and in the exercise of Powers conferred under See. 144 CrPc and Section 34 of the Disaster Management Act. the restrictions imposed Vide the aforesaid Order Dated:-10-08-2020 shall remain to be in force till 31-08-2020 subject to the following stipulations.

Only 50% of shops shall be allowed to remain open in a particular market subject to prior COVID negative test reports of the owner and staff members.

Additional Deputy Commissioners Kupwara & Handwara/SDN1s Kamah & Sogam in eonsultatir with concerned Tehsildars shall issue schedule for opening of shop “re jurisdictions after assessment of the situation and ensure compliance.

Concerned Tchsildars shall ensure Universal Wearing of Masks in their respective jurisdictions and penalising offenders as per the instructiontguidelines as laid down in Go, Notification issued by Health and Medical Education Department vide S.0 No 230 Dated:- 20-07-2O20.
