Jammu, Oct 31: After serving 34 years in Health Department, Medical Superintendent, District Police Line Hospital, Dr Abdul Majeed Malik attained superannuation who was given warm send off by the doctors, para medical staff and other staff of the Hospital.

Dr. Abdul Majeed Malik joined services in 1986 as Medical Officer in Health Centre Kansoo Bhallesa following which he was promoted as Block Medical Officer in the year 2010 and served in Block Gandoh Bhallesa from where he was transferred as Deputy Chief Medical Officer Doda and then posted as Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Kishtwar. He was transferred and adjusted as CMO Kishtwar following which he was adjusted as Medical Superintendent, Government Medical College, Doda.

On the basis of his excellent services, Dr Abdul Majeed Malik was transferred as posted as Medical Superintendent, Police Hospital Jammu where he attained superannuation on October 31, 2020 after serving more than 34 years in Health Department.

During his tenure as Block Medical Officer Bhallesa Gandoh, he reached people on doorstep and provided health care facilities for which he is
still remembered in BHallesa. As Deputy Chief Medical Officer Doda, he managed immunization and family welfare programmes in nomads of
District Doda for the first time in history. Particularly launched immunization camps in Thanalla village of Doda among nomad families.
He has received various appreciations and awrads from government and non governmental organizations for yeomen services in the Department.

Speaking on the occasion, Doctors of Police Hospital Dr Vibhuti, Radiologist, Dr Ajay Mishri Surgeon, Dr Sunil Kumar Raina, Physician, Dr Anjum Mirza, MO, Dr Rajesh Koul, Dr Shaista, Dr Sadaf, Dr Faiza ,Dr Neeru Gupta & Dr Priyanka Chopra appreciated role of Dr Abdul Majeed Malik as MS of Police Hospital. They termed him most honest and dedicated officer
