Srinagar, Oct 5, KNT: Locals from Safakadal area of Srinagar city Monday appealed Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation to halt ‘illegal’ constructions going on in the Ward 18.
The locals told news agency KNT that many illegal structures are coming up in different parts of Safakadal Ward 18. These areas include Gul Bahar Colony, Shaheed Mazar Colony and others.
They said in past as well illegal structures were allowed to come up and then demolished after public outcry.
“Action needs to be initiated against the concerned ward officer Jan Muhammad Shigoo,” they demanded and appealed Commissioner SMC to look into the matter.
The locals said that all the illegal constructions are coming up at wet land. (KNT)
