37-yr-old motorcyclist killed in Sopore mishap

Sopore, Oct 03 (KNO): A 37-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in Choora area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday evening.

Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a motorcycle bearing registration number TN-228E-8481 driven by Iqbal Qasim Beigh, 37, son of Abdul Ahad of Dooru Sopore was hit by unknown vehicle at Choora area of Sopore.

The motorcyclist, Iqbal Qasim Beigh was immediately rushed to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Sopore where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival, officials said, adding that the deceased was an Engineer by profession and was working in a private company.

However, the driver along with the vehicle has managed to flee from the spot following which search has been launched.
