SCHOLARSHIP NOTIFICATION
Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students- Inviting ONLINE
applications for Fresh Batch 2020, 1st Renewal of Batch 2019, 2nd Renewal of Batch 2018 and
3rd renewal of Batch 2017 on National Scholarship Portal.
In light of Ministry of Education, Govt. of India notification No. 1-42/2020-SS, dated:- 13-08-
2020, it is notified for information that online scholarship applications under Central
Sector Scheme of Scholarship (CSSS) for College and University Students sponsored by
the Department of Higher Education Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD),
New Delhi through the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education are being invited
through National Scholarship Portal (http:scholarships.gov.in) by or before 31st October
- The students who have passed their Higher Secondary Examination, Part-II (Class 12th)
Session Annual, Regular, 2019, Kashmir Division /Winter Zone areas of Jammu Division and
Annual Regular 2020 in case of Summer Zone areas of Jammu Division, falling within Top 20
percentile and follow the below mentioned eligibility criteria are eligible to apply.
Eligibility Criteria:- - The overall family income should not exceed Rs. 8 Lakh per annum.
- The student should not be availing any other scholarship from any other source.
- The student should be pursuing undergraduate courses (First Year) in any stream from
recognized institution within or outside J&K/Ladakh.
The Top 20 percentile along with important instructions to fill application form online is
available on JKBOSE website: www.jkbose.ac.in
The quantum of Scholarship is 10,000/-per annum for undergraduate courses and
20,000/-per annum during Post Graduate courses.
Besides, it is also notified for information of all the concerned candidates of 1st Renewal
of Batch 2019, 2nd Renewal of Batch 2018 and 3rd renewal of 2017, who are in receipt of
Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship (CSSS), can also apply online for their respective
renewal installments on National Scholarship Portal by or before 31st October, 2020. The
candidate must have passed the previous class examination with 50% or above Marks and
75% attendance. The application after successful completion will be validated online by the
University/College/Institutions in which the student is studying at Graduate/Post Graduation level.
NOTE: The Heads of the University/College/Institutions may get/ reset their User ID and
Password on e-mail ID [email protected] to verify the eligible students online
for speedy disposal.
Also, the candidates of Kashmir Division and Winter Zone areas of Jammu Division who
have passed 12th Class examination in Session Annual Regular 2019, are advised to fill the
passing year 2020 while applying online for grant of scholarship under CSSS.
