Continuing with it’s novel initiative – Reach To The Child – The Jammu Kashmir Teacher’s Forum (JKTF) held a conference at Higher Secondary School, Pattan.The conference was presided by the chairman JKTF, Mr. Mohammad Rafique Rather, while the guest of honour was Sub Divisional Magistrate Pattan, Mr. Syed Faheem.The other dignitaries that graced the conference included Vice Chairman JKTF, Mr Mir Mohammed Ashraf, Mr Gh Ahmad Mir Chief spokesperson, Mr Farooq kareemi Coordinator, Mr Qamar din Qadri Organisor JKTF, Mr Mohammed Muzafar Dar Treasurer, Mr Ishfaq Ahmad Shah Distric President JKTF Bla, Mr Nazir Ahmed Bhat, Altaf Hussein Nisar Ahmad Dar Altaf Hussein Fafoo Baidar Ahmad javad Ahmad sopore Rafiq Ah lone Nazir Ahmad Dar Tahir sofi Sameer Ahmad Zp Sopore Dangiwacha Chandoosa Rohama Uri Chandaneari Singhpora kalan Singhpora pattan Nehalpora Pattan kunzar Tangmarg Baramulla Faroq Ah khan Farooq Ahmed Rather Mustafa Ahmed lone Owais Nanda and hundreds of teachers.

The conference was also attended by Zonal Education Officers Nehalpora & Pattan, Principal Hgr Sec School Pattan.
The conference coincided with the Teacher’s Day (September-5) & as such various speakers, ranging from academicians to administrators to civil society members, spoke in reverence of teaching fraternity.

Speaking on the occassion, JKTF Chairman, Mr. Rafique Rather said, “When the chips were down in the times of COVID-19, the teaching fraternity led from the front, utilising various media like Zoom, Whatsapp, YouTube, Television & Radio, to impart the education to the children at the remotest of the locales…it’s because of their dedicated efforts that J&K continues to be one of the best performing destination across the country viz-a-viz literacy parameters”.

“I’m personally indebted to my teachers for who l’m today…Teachers are the real nation builders.Besides imparting teaching, they have worked in tandem with administration to control the pandemic of COVID-19 by way of discharging their duties as COVID magistrates in an exemplary manner…You name a nation building exercise & teachers are there to play their pivotal part, be it census assignments, or election duties, it’s the teachers who are at the forefront”, said SDM Pattan, Mr. Syed Fayaz.

Also, in a first, the JKTF, gave away the Best Teacher Awards, to five of the teachers from Zone Pattan, for their diligent academic services during the challenging times of COVID-19.
The awardees are mentioned (zone-wise) here under:

• Mr. Mudasir Ahmad Tantray ( Zone Pattan).
• Mr. Peer Nisar Ahmad (Zone Nehalpora).
• Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Parray ( Zone Singpora Pattan).
• Mr. Abdul Rashid Rashi (Zone Tangmarg).
• Mr. Abdul Qayoom Bhat (Zone Kunzar).

Noteworthy, the JKTF campaign – Reach To The Child – which commenced from Sogam, Kupwara, making it’s way to Zone Pattan, would be soon organised in District Headquarters Baramulla.
And, the exigencies of time permitting, would be eventually spread to Budgam & Anantnag.
