GANDERBAL, AUGUST 27: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today directed the BMOs to ensure prompt response to patients who are in home isolation in case of emergency and regular health checkups to ensure their proper monitoring.
The DC gave these directions during a meeting of Health Department to review the implementation of mitigation efforts to minimize the COVID-19 infection in the district.
During the meeting threadbare discussion was held on sampling in Red Zones, Rapid Antigen Testing, contact tracing, Home Quarantine protocol, follow up of Quarantine patients, Community surveillance, monitoring of co-morbids, availability of oximeter, functioning of Covid Control Room (Health) and Community surveillance teams.
The CMO briefed the DC about steps taken to achieve sampling targets on daily basis and status of availability of oxymeter, ventilators and rapid antigen kits.
While addressing the meeting, the DC urged upon the BMOs to ensure aggressive target sampling is done in all Red Zone areas of the district especially service providers, pregnant ladies, old age persons, etc. Besides, surveillance teams were instructed to ensure prompt contact tracing so that chance of infection is mitigated.
The DC also urged upon the In-charge Covid Control Room that the register shall be maintained and updated on daily basis having all relevant details as per laid down guidelines.
The meeting also discussed action taken on the directions given in the last meeting besides implementation and adherence of SOPs, status of daily sampling targets and health care to Covid-19 positive patients.
Meanwhile, through telephonically, DC also interacted with the several patients who are in home quarantine to get feedback about the services provided to them like regular health checkups, availability of oximeter, thermometer and urged them to adhere to the guidelines and SOPs related to COVID-19 during home isolation.
Among others, the meeting was attended by ADC Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, CMO Ganderbal, DHO, BMOs and other officials from Heath Department.
