2nd Sample collection centre for COVID-19 established at Trauma Hospital Bijbehara

Bijbehara, April 13:2nd sample collection centre was established at newly constructed Trauma hospital Bijbehara Anantnag today, which has been already turned into a quarantine centre.
While briefing the media, the DM Anantnag Mr. Bashir Ahmad Dar said that the 2nd sample collection centre for COVID -19 suspects will lighten the burden on GMC Anantnag, which was the single sample collection centre for COVID – 19 till today for twin districts of Anantnag and Kulgam, adding that it will help in aggressive and random collection of samples. The capacity of Trauma Hospital turned quarantine centre at Bijbehara has been enhanced to 110 beds from a capacity of 70 beds and will be enhanced more as per the need, the DM said. The DM renewed his appeal to general public for playing their role in making the lockdown successful, avoiding gatherings , maintaining social distance and wearing masks to a the COVID – 19 Infection.

Today 41 samples have been collected under the supervision of cheif medical officer anantnag Mr.Mukhtar Ahmad Shah deputy CMO Dr.Mohammad yousuf Zago vatern and hardworker dedicate medical superintendent covid-19 head Dr.showkat hussain parray SDH Bijbehara along with doctors and paramedical staff. People are thankful to divisional commissioner Mr.Panduranf k.pole deputy commissioner anantnag Mr.Basheer ahmad dar Director health services Kashmir Dr sameer mutoo and SDM bijbehara jahangir ahmad khandya who are serving at the front line of this global pandemic, and keeping our societies afloat.
